Healing Touch Massage Offers Several Types of Massage Therapy

Seated Chair Massage

Seated Chair massage, which uses a comfortable, specially designed massage chair in which the client is fully clothed, is a convenient way to alleviate the stress inherent in these uncertain and competitive times.

Slouching over a computer or workstation for long hours, as many of us do, can cause neck, shoulder and back pain. Offering seated chair massages to employees can be a way of showing how much you appreciate their hard work!

A 10-minute stress-buster massage relieves tension in neck, back, and shoulder muscles, and has the bonus of reducing irritability and increasing productivity!

Seated massage includes bodywork and somatic techniques, such as Pressure Point Therapy, Shiatsu, and Swedish massage.

Because the seated chair massage is provided to fully clothed clients, it can be done in a variety of settings, from home jewelry or “girls night out” parties, to street fairs and business expos!

Swedish Massage

One of the most well-known massage techniques, Swedish massage, is a vigorous treatment that relaxes and energizes the body by stimulating circulation. Five basic strokes, all flowing toward the heart, are used to manipulate the soft tissues of the body.

The disrobed client is covered by a sheet, with only the area being worked on exposed. Marie uses a combination of movements, along with oil, to reduce friction on the skin. The many benefits of Swedish massage include general relaxation, dissolving scar tissue adhesions, and improved circulation, which may speed healing and reduce swelling from injury.

Integrative Massage — Includes Energy Work, Trager and Reflexology

• With energy work, Marie places her hands on or just above the client’s body to activate healing energy within receptive points on the body. Her hands move progressively with a passive touch through 12 positions on the body, remaining in each position for three to five minutes. As a harmonic flow of energy is strengthened, healing occurs through the return of physical, mental, and spiritual balance.

• Trager is psychophysical integration therapy that involves both the mind and the body.

• Reflexology is a natural healing art based on the principle that there are reflexes in the feet, hands and ears and their referral areas within zone related areas, which correspond to every part, gland and organ of the body. By applying pressure on these reflexes, especially the feet, reflexology relieves tension, improves circulation and helps promote the natural function of the related areas of the body.”
